‘Visions from Earth’ LCO

St John's Smith Square London, United Kingdom

Come along to Sinfonia Smith Square at 7.30pm on Saturday 12 April and hear an epic concert that unites three much-loved classical works that open up new ways of seeing. Conductor Adrian Varela is at the helm. We're performing: Also Sprach Zarathustra by Strauss - ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ famously used the opening of this piece for its climactic moments. Prélude à l’Après-midi d’un Faune by Debussy - this erotically explicit work caused a scandal at its premiere. Pines of Rome by Respighi - the composer pays homage to the unchanging beauty of the pine trees of the Roman landscape. We can't wait to see you in April! If you have any query regarding your ticket, please email marketing@londoncityorchestra.com.
